Muzik Junqie 2025 End of Year Playback!

Well, I guess it’s time for my last Playback of the year. 2025 has been one of my most challenging years. Honestly, it’s really been like that the last 3 years or so. But even through all of the struggles, I feel that I did make some progress. And I need to give myself more credit for the things I did do and succeed at, even though in my perfectionist mind, it feels like I haven’t broken the surface.

Here’s a look back at some of the things and moments that stick out to me from this past year…

Finding My Place as a Wrestling Fan and Creator

I decided to go all in, for the most part, when it came to making more Wrestling videos and content. It was a lot of fun at first, but then I got to really see the wrestling fandom/ IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) for what it really is, especially when it comes to WWE. Being a black woman who is 1) a fan of wrestling, in general and 2) a fan of particular wrestlers (all of the black men and women on the roster, as well as the Samoan family everyone loves to hate), you get to see the more toxic side of the fandom. And I was not about to argue with people who only want attention.

I, of course, met some other great women who are fans as well. And as I had mentioned before, I became a member of black woman-led Wrestling podcast (links below). Also, I created a new Instagram page dedicated to Wrestling, with some pop culture things sprinkled in. Still building when it comes to all of that and it’s been a huge learning process.

I am extremely thankful for other promotions like Ase Wrestling, TNA, and AEW, which I am trying my best to get more into. And as much as I would love to support the local promotions, I’m going to need more time. That first experience was not a good one, not at the fault of the wrestlers, though.

Getting Back to the Music

Because Wrestling was getting so toxic, I made sure to go back to my first, and forever, love, Music. That wasn’t hard to do because a lot of my Favs dropped new music this year: Luke Christopher, Maurice Moore (new music coming in 2026), Monsta X, and Wonho, to name a few.

Discovered some amazing new artists like XLOV 🙂

And I was able to do some more album unboxings…

Had Some Interesting Experiences…

The 3 experiences I did have this year, I was able to go with my amazing boyfriend, and we had a great time…

WWE Friday Night Smackdown in New Orleans, LA

My 1st WWE Smackdown in New Orleans!

Animeverse x Wrestleverse Fest in Baton Rouge, LA

Lastly, My Mental Health

If I’m being honest, my mental health was not the best this year. I am still recovering from being laid off/ unemployed from the end of 2024 into around Spring of this year. That took a toll on my mental health and my finances. Then I had another moment hit me, which was basically a cumulation of things that I was pushing aside.

I’ve been going to therapy twice a month since then, trying to figure out how to get back to ME. Then the Holidays came, and that didn’t make anything better. I guess, the short version of all of that is I have been doing a lot of grieving – the loss of my mom and grandparents, as well as grieving the life I thought I would have by now. It’s been hard but I’m working through it.

Muzik Junqie in 2026

My pages grew a lot this year, so I hope to continue to grow on social media, while continuing to remain true to myself. There is no attention, no views, no trend, or anything that will ever be more important than my mental health. So, I will continue to work on being more consistent, but still take breaks when I need to. But, I will say that I am proud of myself for getting out there more this past year.

I don’t plan on changing too much, aesthetic-wise, but maybe a few small updates. One of my main focuses will be on experiences, whether I post them all or not, I really want to LIVE in this year, not just survive. Healing and growing as an individual is extremely important. So, when it comes to everything else, I guess we’ll all just have to see what happens 😉
