First, I want to start off by saying this is officially the 10year Anniversary of Muzik Junqie! I was supposed to talk about this pretty special milestone, but nothing I was working on came out how I wanted. But I realized that this was more-so for me, and letting myself be proud of what I created and sticking with it for this long. Having this outlet to stay creative has meant a lot to me, and the support I have gotten over the years has been beautiful.
My last video of 2025 is a direct result of this Blog being around this long. I did a video talking about 5 things/ people that altered the way that I view music and culture. I have talked about these people and topics within the last several years of this blog.
Some of My Favorite Music Drops from January!
I was so excited for Joohoney’s (Monsta X) 2nd solo album and had pre-ordered it the second it was available. I also did an unboxing (check out the link at the bottom of the page).
In Seong from underrated K-Pop group, also one of my Favs, SF9 released a solo EP, and it is so beautiful. He has always been such an amazing vocalist, so I was excited to hear this solo project.
Another K-Pop group that I love, Oneus, had a comeback recently and I am obsessed with the lead single.
The collab I never knew I needed from K-Hip Hop soloist Giriboy & K-Pop soloist Heize
This is kind of my wildcard… Tim Henson from the band Polyphia. They are hard to describe, but their music is an experience, to say the least. If you enjoy instrumentals, give them a listen.
Fangirl Update!
I recently bought BTS tickets! They announced their comeback and will be dropping a new album in March titled ‘Arirang’, as well as going on a massive world tour. They are going to Texas, which is always the closest and most sensible option when it comes to traveling to concerts (since a lot of people, especially K-Pop artists, don’t come to Louisiana). So, I got the fan club membership and was able to get into the presale.

Luckily, that process wasn’t as bad as I thought, and I got some pretty good seats (from how it looks) for their second day in Arlington, Texas. I wanted to share it more on my social media pages, but after I saw the chaos that erupted from the fans who did and didn’t get tickets, I decided to stay quiet (outside of this post). The toxicity within fandoms that we have come to know showed its ugly head during the whole “ticketing war” that took place for these BTS tickets. I did not want to let that ruin the thought of me getting to see BTS for the first time ever, after being a fan for almost 7 years now.
Monsta X is still my Bias group so of course I am anxiously awaiting a US tour announcement. But I do understand why it may not be the easiest thing to do or schedule right now. With the way our world is, and unfortunately the country many of us reside in, there is so much uncertainty. At the end of the day, I want us all to be safe, the traveling/ touring artists included.

Final Thoughts!
I’m sure that I am not the only one adjusting to this new year. Not to be too heavy, but everyday it feels like our world is falling apart. A lot of us don’t have a choice but to keep going, keep working, and hopefully find a way to experience something that brings us joy. I pray for all of us, especially in times like these.
So, instead of trying to make plans for “content” and being more consistent, which I am working on. I am working on taking better care of myself. These days I haven’t felt the best physically, but I know it’s because I need to take care of me. Social media can wait.
Sending Love to all of You!
