Another concert for the books! Took a trip to Dallas, Texas with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday, and to see one of our favorite rappers J.Cole at the American Airlines Center, for his iconic Fall Off Tour. This would be our 2nd time ever seeing him live since August of 2018. I did a post about this show, check the link below.
The Fall Off Tour… My Experience!
When we got to the arena, we had issues with our tickets (Ticketmaster) at the door. I had them saved to my wallet on my phone – didn’t work. Then they told me to go to my Ticketmaster app – still nothing. They sent me to support in the arena, and they were able to pull up my ticket and text me the link. That’s never happened to me before, but I’m happy the staff was friendly about it, and very helpful.
But once we were in, we jumped into the Merch line, and it wasn’t too bad. I love my shirt (a little jealous of bae’s shirt, though lol). After that we headed to our seats where there were tour towels waiting 🙂 We were able to take in the view of the arena and stage, and jam to the music being played by the tour DJ. The atmosphere was very chill and it was cool to see what everyone was wearing.

Shoutout to Dreamville!
At first, it didn’t look like there were going to be any opening acts until Bas popped up with the DJ. They played a lot of good music to “check out the vibe”, which was fun. I don’t think I’ve swag-surfed since college 🙂 It was a pretty different experience than what I’m used to, so I enjoyed it.
They did showcase use that time to debut some new artists under the Dreamville label. First up was PJ who recently dropped a new single called “Two Steps”, produced by J.Cole. She is beautiful and extremely talented, worked and was featured on this ‘Fall Off’ album; I’m definitely a fan and excited for her album. And they also brought out a new rap artist named PFG. I loved his energy and interaction with the crowd.
Last but not least, Bas performed some of his hits. He’s been one of my favorites for a while now, so it was dope to finally see him live like that. I also really liked how the stage for set up for this part of the show. The overall concept of “Dreamville Radio” was great.
Final Thoughts!
After these last two concerts, I find myself taking less videos and posting a lot less on social media, in general, these days. Not to sound dramatic but being online and being a part of different fandoms and communities and just trying to be a “content creator” has put me through a lot of unnecessary things. I have learned a lot about myself though, and I’ll take that. But I want to continue living in the moment. It’s a lot more fun that way.
Please make sure you have a life outside of this social media sh**. Be someone and do something you’re proud of. Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing or feeling. We don’t have to share everything with everyone just for the sake of being popular or going viral. Keep some things sacred.
