When I tell you that this amazing woman & this album and getting me through this crazy morning as I am writing this… She is getting me through! I first saw and heard Baby Rose when she opened up for Ari Lennox for her Shea Butter Baby Tour back in May. She was definitely a favorite for me and I couldn’t wait to hear more music. Lucky for me, she just released her new debut project To Myself.
Get to Know Baby Rose
Baby Rose is a singer/ songwriter out of Washington, DC, though she moved around a lot as a kid. Like most singers, she grew up around a lot of music because of her family. After learning to play piano at a young age and beginning to write poetry, she found her own journey into music. She would officially hit the ground running when she appeared onto the music scene as an artist earlier this year (2019).
She has gotten the attention of some powerhouses in the industry. Baby Rose recently signed a distribution deal with Troy Carter and J. Erving’s ventures Q&A/ Human Re-Sources. After this amazing debut LP, I know we are all looking forward to what’s next for her. I seriously adore her and wish her the best in everything.

To Myself… My Review
From the very first track “Sold Out” it brings me back to when I was hearing her for the first time when she opened up for Ari Lennox. I was hypnotized by her voice then and still am. Her voice is so unique, raw, and passion-filled. The lyrical content of every song is relatable, especially if you’ve ever been in a relationship.
One of my favorite songs by her will always be “Borderline”. But after listening to this entire album a few times, every song is not too far behind. Most of the tracks will hit you right in your soul, like “Mortal”, “All to Myself”, and “Over”. To be honest, her music is something you have to hear to get what I’m trying to say LOL. Just trust me on this!
