So, I’ve been on a social media “break” for almost the last month or so. There have been a lot of changes and social media was feeling heavy. I was already having a hard time posting consistently and interacting/ engaging and constantly feeling like I just don’t belong. At the end of the day, my peace is more important, so I chose to back up for a bit.
With my birthday coming up, I am approaching the last year in my 30s, so of course I’ve been doing some reflection. I still have a lot of things to work on and that’s okay. Every day is a learning experience and another day to try again. Therapy has been helping me sort through all of that. It also helps that I have a few things to look forward to (so far).
Favorite Things (aka Music)
Here are some recent releases from the past month or so that I have been enjoying and having on repeat. Of course there are so many more dope songs that dropped, but I’ll catch up on those later 🙂
Kihyun – New Solo EP ‘Borderline’
Maurice Moore – New Single “Alaska”
Wonho – New EP ‘CORE’, Single “Don’t Wake Me Up”
KARD – 1st album ‘Where to Now? (Pt.2: Nowhere). Last group album under current record label; Single “Back to Life”
Luke Christopher – New Single “Are You Drunk Right Now?”
Exciting Things Coming!
I know that I have been talking about these concerts since I started buying concert tickets at the beginning of this year LOL. All that starts this month and I am super excited about all of it. First up, we have BTS in Texas. Even though I have been to plenty of K-pop concerts, I know this one will be different.

I won’t say too much about what I want to do regarding sharing this experience. This trip has a lot of “moving parts” to it, so I’ll have to see once I get on the road. I’m trying to find that happy balance between creating and living, though. But I do want to use this trip to try out some new things creatively.
Final Thoughts!
I won’t lie, the biggest thing for me is to figure out how to create content and be more engaging and interacting while not losing myself in views and likes. I am more introverted, especially in spaces where people expect you to be louder and performative. That’s not me, but it doesn’t mean that I can’t be extroverted. I have to feel safe and comfortable to be that way.
Too many people don’t understand what “introverted” really means. Some also don’t understand that just because I don’t want to tell you my entire life story or what’s going on with me privately, that I’m/ we’re being secretive. Maybe we just don’t trust you or feel safe enough to confide in you in that way. Stop feeling entitled to know everything about everyone, because you don’t mind sharing your life.
