Music Review! Britney Spears is Back B**** with New Album Glory

So, the “Pop Princess” Britney Spears and my fellow Southern girl, is back with a new album called Glory. Britney and her music bring back so many memories for me, reminding me of the music that was out in the 90’s – 00’s. Now I will admit that I wasn’t impressed with her from the very beginning. But her songs were very catchy and often got stuck in my head whether I wanted it to or not. Also she was dating my dream husband at the time Justin Timberlake so I wasn’t supposed to like her (Don’t judge me! LOL)…

But by her 2nd album she was definitely growing on me. And there was something she said that made me love her for sure. It was a show on MTV where they were following her around and her dad had fixed her some cheese grits (my favorite breakfast coming up) and she said “Cheese grits… The breakfast of champions for Southern girls…”. I cannot explain how true that statement is for us down here in Louisiana.

Anyway, I have been a fan of her music off and on for years. She’s had a lot of hits but this album as a whole is just a miss for me. I don’t hate it but I just can’t get into it. But I will say that “Better”, “Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes)”, and “Liar” (My favorite hands down) are her strongest songs. Her vocals are stronger and a bit edgy which I love.

As far as me being a fan of music and the fact that I love to just sit and vibe out, this is not one of those albums for me. It is strictly a Pop/ Dance album like most of her other music. So, I can say that if I was out with my girls and this music came on then I would probably be dancing and singing my heart out. But it’s not one of those albums that I can listen to everyday for any mood. I’ll have to be in a really girly mood and ready to party. If you are a die-hard Britney fan then you will probably love it.

Check out her new music video for “Make Me” featuring G-Eazy 🙂
