It’s Friday! Today I want to use this post to shout out a couple of rappers I am a fan of. And who are also now following me on Twitter. Yes I was very excited to see those notifications LOL .. I appreciate ya’ll man! 🙂
I’ll start with 2 Pistols, somewhat of a Vet in the rap game, out of Florida.He became associated with Rick Ross and T-Pain. I started being a fan of him around the time of his first album Death Before Dishonor (2008) and when he dropped that single ” She Got It” ft. T-Pain. Then he released Comin Back Hard in 2014.
His new album J. Saunders is coming out next Friday, March 18th. I’ll probably do a review so watch out for that.

Now, let’s talk about Kap G who is pretty new to the rap game but definitely making his presence known. He comes to us from College Park in ATL and we all know the music culture out there is crazy. I dig the fact that he is Mexican but has that hood/ trap sound on top of that. He’s definitely different. He also has a small part in the movie DOPE. I wasn’t expecting that but he did great! The movie is a MUST SEE, especially if you’re a fan of Hip Hop.
He just released a new mixtape called El Southside with DJ Drama and a Gangsta Grillz tag. Kap has songs with some of his fellow ATL rappers Young Thug, Ca$h Out, and even has a track produced by Pharrell Williams called “Southside” (music reminds me of N.E.R.D. a little).
I can tell that he’s growing. His rhyming skills are getting better and better, in my opinion.
