I want to really start talking about some new young artists who may have a following on Social Media but aren’t that big yet or are Independent.
This rapper I’m about to introduce to you was actually one of my first followers on Twitter. He has been showing off some serious rhyming skills since I first saw him so I’ve been keeping an eye on him (nothing creepy I promise LOL). Now I finally get to really talk about him on a bigger platform than Twitter.He already has a pretty huge fan base and following though.
Niko Khale… The 20 year old out of the D.C Area/ DMV has really made a name for himself. From starting out using his alias Ace Primo to his huge success in 2015. He had a couple of national ad campaigns (Powerade and Hyundai), over 2 million views on YouTube, nation-wide tours, album and soundtrack features, and notable mentions on blogs and major media outlets.
He’s keeping that momentum going in this new year; recently dropping a new Mixtape called Storytime last week. This record is Dope by the way. His voice is raw and gritty with a little singing mixed in. He stands out for sure. Like he says in his music, he’s Next Up! You should check this kid out. He is someone you guys should definitely watch out for.
