More Music & Wrestling! Muzik Playback!

These months are really flying by. And, to be honest, trying to bounce back after this lay off has been a lot harder than I was hoping. I’m doing my best to save and take care of home, but it takes a lot more to just live these days. All I can do, right now, is to make the most out of what I have, and continue to enjoy my favorite things (music and wrestling).

I know it’s hard out there for everyone, whether you have a job or are still looking. Don’t give up. Keep looking for that job, and if you see yourself doing your own thing to make money, look into that as well. Don’t overwhelm yourself and remember to give yourself grace in between all of the chaos.

What’s Happening in the Fan-Girl Side of Things…

Definitely a less serious topic but for anyone who is familiar with my content, then you know it’s something I have to talk about lol. When it comes to being a K-Pop fan, it’s been pretty good, music-wise. Monsta X is back for their 10th anniversary and an album with some re-recorded songs featuring Shownu, who was in the military when these songs were released, so and we have a ton of content to watch. Plus, Wonho released new music last week. At this point I’m just trying to catch a concert or something. It’s been a while and I do miss it.

To be honest, though, if you keep up with that side of the internet, concerts don’t look as fun these days. Too many people lack “concert etiquette” and don’t know how to act or be considerate around other people. We’re all paying for the same thing. I don’t care if you paid more than for VIP access, you can still treat people with respect. And it’s only getting harder to be a black K-pop fan, but I’ll leave it there for now.

Now, don’t get me started on the Wrestling side of things, more WWE than anything. I know that it’s something that’s everywhere, but watching how WWE & their new parent company TKO have been running things, talking about fans, etc… It further confirms how money is all they care about; not the “fans” who spend money on their “product”, buy merch for their wrestlers. They don’t even care about the mental and safety of their wrestlers. Don’t even get me started on how they treat their Wrestlers of color.

Final Thoughts!

Because of all of that I am trying to get more into the Independent wrestling promotions. I’ll be going to my first local wrestling event in a couple of weeks. I’m really excited about it and plan on sharing that experience with y’all. I love wrestling as a whole and acknowledge that it’s more than the machine that is WWE.

For my Wrestling Fans or to those who just want to support some black women creating another space and community for us 🙂 Here is our latest podcast episode…

As I look back, June was a tough month. I won’t go into specifics, but I didn’t feel like myself for most of it. And I know that when it comes to creating, I need to do more of that and consume less. Spending too much time watching other people’s content only frustrates me these days (Not everyone I watch, obviously).
