My Top 5 Favorite Podcasts!

I honestly didn’t think that I would enjoy podcasts as much as I do. I normally need music when I’m driving or working, and not just listening to people talk. But, I have found some pretty cool podcasts that keep me entertained while driving or focused and even relaxed while surviving the stressful workday. So, I thought that I would make a list and share some of them with you guys. Keep reading if you want to know what my top 5 favorite current podcasts are.

1. The Read

Listening to Kid Fury and Crissle talk about hip hop, pop culture, and everything in between is usually the highlight of my day (and week). This podcast can be described as: “Join Kid Fury and Crissle for their weekly podcast covering hip-hop and pop culture’s most trying stars. Throwing shade and spilling tea with a flippant and humorous attitude, no star is safe from Fury and Crissle unless their name is Beyoncé.”

2. Getting Grown

This podcast can be best described as: “Keia and Jade are two happy and hard working (Blackity) Black Women who are just trying to learn how to adult, for real… Join us each week for Kitchen TableTalk, Petty Peeves and Lessons in Black Women Self Care, as we try to figure out life as 30-somethings.” And as a 30-something myself, this podcast is EVERYTHING. The segment “Petty Peeves” is probably my favorite, for obvious reasons LOL. Whether you are in your 30s or not, you should definitely check them out 

3. The Joe Budden Podcast

I’m not even sure how to describe Joe Budden, Rory, and Mal LOL. You never know what to expect from them but it’s almost an insider view on the music industry mixed with some hip hop culture news. I do love the fact that they play music during the show, new school, and old school; depending on the mood. But they have become one of my favorite podcast for sure.

4. Small Doses with Amanda Seales

Amanda Seales is a Comedian, host, DJ, content creator, and more. I love her antics as a comedian and actress but also love to watch/ listen to her rants on social issues, which she is always so spot on about. Her recent comedy special is so awesome. She is such a multi-faceted soul and I love her so much. And her podcast is all of that and more.

5. Guys Next Door

Since this podcast just started, I decided to add it to this list. And since they started later than originally announced, they dropped 3 episodes in one day. If you guys didn’t notice, I absolutely adore Mack Wilds. Then you put him with his good friend Mouse Jones and Ryan Fletcher aka “Fly Ry” where they discuss the male perspective on life, love, sex, and more; it’s as real as it gets.
