Now onto this music gem that was released today 🙂
M.I.A. ‘s new album AIM is coming out next Friday (September 9th) and it is available for Pre-Order now on iTunes! Everyone, along with myself has been anxious to finally hear her song “Freedun” which features my favorite Zayn.
M.I.A. is an English Hip Hop recording artist, director, visual artist, activist, record producer, photographer, fashion designer and model. She has been in the industry for a while, coming out in 2002-2004 and I have been a fan of hers for a minute now, “Paper Planes” probably being one of my favorites by her. Her music combines elements of Alternative, Dance, Electronic, Hip Hop and World Music. So I am really excited to check out her new music next week.
Now, this song right here is so simple yet powerful. M.I.A. still has that unique and laid back flow of hers. You combine that with Zayn’s soft R&B melodies on top of an Indian influenced track, and you get this beautiful track. I hope they continue to work together because they just seem like the perfect international-influenced team.
