I am a bit late with this one, but as per usual, I have had so much going on, with work and life in general. But music has continued to keep me going, and these are some of the releases from the end of October that helped me push through. There is already a list of comebacks that are coming for November. I’m telling you, being a fan of so many groups and artists feels like a full-time job LOL.
The Queen CL is Back with New Album ALPHA!
Getting into some of the “older” generation K-pop artists has been so much fun, and CL is one of those artists that makes me excited. She does rap and sing a lot in English, but whether she uses her native language or not, she’s killing it. I love her style, attitude, rapping style, all of it! And this album shows off all of that, and more.
Playing the whole album with no skips goes without question. I guess I can say that I do have some favorites, though, like: “Lover Like Me”, “Xai”, Tie a Cherry”… Okay, I realize that if I keep listing, I’ll end up listing the whole album lol. It’s hard to describe, but it’s easy to get such a confident energy from her when listening. I’m so glad she’s back and honestly hope that she goes on tour, because I would love to see her in person.

Epik High Dropped New Single “Face ID”!
The more I listen to Epik High and watch them, the more I see how iconic they are. This new song “Face ID”, that features GIRIBOY, Sik-K, and JUSTHIS, has such a grungy/ rock type feel to it, but mixed with Hip Hop and a little bit of R&B. The song is a bit all over the place, in a good way, if that makes sense lol. And the music video for it is just as chaotic, but it gives me 90’s/ 00’s alternative type vibes.
See for yourself 🙂

New EP From MRSHLL!
Keeping with the Hip Hop/ R&B vibe, we have a recent-ish discovery for me, MRSHLL. I found his music while checking out new artists on Spotify a while back. I continue to be impressed by his vocals and how true he stays to that authentic R&B sound. Every song on this EP is amazing, and I’m always a fan of music that provides a chill vibe.
He’s one of those artists that you need to experience for yourself 🙂
Wonho Makes His Solo Japanese Debut!
One of the things that I love about these Japanese comebacks, is that the artists typically wear less makeup, or more natural looking makeup. For this solo debut for Wonho, I absolutely love seeing him in a natural tan with baggy clothes, and not overly gelled or styled hair. For this release, other than the song “On The Way”, there is also the Japanese version of “Open Mind”. It’s cool how there is a “soft rock” element to this one for him as well.
Special Digital Single from VAV!
So, in honor of VAV’s 6th anniversary, they released a special single called “’Cause I Miss You”, with an even more special video. Yes, I teared up while watching it, because it brought back memories of meeting them and seeing them live for the first time. At this point, 4 out of the 7 members are fulfilling their mandatory military enlistments. Of course, I miss them horribly, but they do give us updates so it’s good to know that they are doing good and are staying healthy.
They’ve held a special place in my heart since I started listening to them. They really are a unique group and don’t get enough recognition, but us, as VAMPZ, will continue to support them no matter what. I can’t wait to see what’s next for them and hopefully get to see them live again. And I also hope that others will get a chance to see them how we see them 🙂

NCT 127 Drops Favorite Repackage!
I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but NCT 127 is my favorite NCT unit, with Johnny being my bias, and being constantly bias-wrecked by the other members lol. This newest release is basically a repackage for Sticker, called Favorite, with the lead single by the same name. And let me tell you, I am OBSESSED with this song, just like I was when “Sticker” came out! Don’t get me started on the visuals in this music video, either *cries in fangirl*
I am still enjoying the songs that are on the last release, as well as on this one. Some of my favorite, more up-tempo/ dance tracks are “Lemonade” and “Bring the Noize”, other than “Favorite” and “Sticker”, of course. I always love their slow tempo, more R&B sound like in the songs “Focus” and “The Rainy Night”. Then you have the super cute, fun songs like “Road Trip” and “Dreamer”, that I didn’t think I would love as much as I do.
