TBT: Da Outsidaz Live Experience & Update

It’s almost Friday and I have pretty much been staying inside due to all of the crazy weather we’ve been having lately. So I thought I would do something a little different today and talk about my boys Da Outsidaz that I introduced to you many posts ago.

So, a little over a month ago on July 8th my bestie Rachel and I went to a club called Barataria Live in Merrero (New Orleans) to see a little showcase called “Heartfelt ‘RnB Series’ ” that featured my boys Da Outsidaz. They had invited me so of course I found a way to go 🙂

Now right away, this wasn’t your typical concert or club show. It was a generally small place with a bar, seating area, and stage. I thought it was cute though, honestly. But anyway, there was a pretty nice lineup of musicians including a few rappers but mainly R&B singers, scheduled for the night and we were impressed with all of them.

So after all of those acts finished, there was a brief “intermission” before Da Outsidaz finally came on. They were amazing and I felt so proud watching them do their thing on that stage. My friend is now officially a fan of theirs by the way.

Here is a video of the boys performing “Jodeci”… (We see you Prep!)

And “Rihanna” (Definitely my favorite! Swagg killed this!)

After the show, my girl and I were able to officially meet them and take pictures with them (A photographer took the pictures so of course I still haven’t gotten them but I’ll work on that LOL). They were so sweet, down to earth, and humble. We ended up talking with 2 of the guys more right before we left. It felt good to be able to give them feedback and tell them how amazing we think they are. They were so thankful for the support and I hope they never change. It’s hard enough find people like that much less musicians. It’s honestly good to see young, talented, back men doing their thing and doing it for the right reasons.

I plan on seeing them again whenever they have another show in the city. And I look forward to watching them grow and progress as individuals and as a group.

So, to the boys, thank you so much for that night and being so sweet to me and Rachel. We had a blast and hope to see you again soon!

Don’t forget to follow them on Twitter & Instagram @daoutsidaz 🙂
